Call for papers for a session on “2-mode networks”

at the XXXIII Sunbelt Conference, May 21-26, 2013 in Hamburg, Germany

Session organizers:
Filip Agneessens, University of Groningen (Netherlands):
Martin Everett, Manchester University (UK):

Two-mode social networks are specific types of networks, where links are only formed between two distinct groups (i.e. modes) of nodes. Examples of 2-mode networks include interlocking directors, participants of parties or events, scientists or companies collaborating on projects, and people being members of multiple groups. Because links are only formed between distinct modes, often specific techniques are required to deal with such 2-mode networks.
For this session we invite papers that either apply 2-mode social network analysis in an innovative way, and/or papers that propose methodological advances on 2-mode social networks.
